A tall landmark in the heart of Nairobi's commercial district, the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) is one of the most iconic buildings of the CBD. It's within easy walking distance of several 5-star hotels, making it convenient for business visitors to the city. During its decades-long history, it's hosted numerous international conferences, exhibitions, seminars, and summits. The KICC surpassed the Hilton Nairobi as the city's tallest building when it was built in 1974, holding the title for 23 years. The rooftop, which was designed to serve as a helipad, offers some of the best panoramas in Nairobi. This 360-degree view of the urban core is unparalleled, and on a clear day you can see as far as green spaces like Central Park, Uhuru Park, Railways Golf Course, and Nairobi National Park. Just remember to dress warmly as it can get chilly and windy, especially if you visit after sundown.
